Why you should visit a Trichologist:

Trichologist are especially trained to assess all aspects of hair loss, hair conditions, scalp disease and scalp disorders. Trichologist will see many clients on a daily basis with these conditions and are therefore the most qualified to diagnose your particular condition. Although trichologists are not qualified to diagnose medical disorders, many underlying ailments that cause hair loss have been discovered through the practices and investigation of a Trichologist. At ARCON Hair loss centre and Salon we have trained trichologists who are able to assist you in all concerns relating to your hair, Hair loss and scalp conditions.

What to expect from your visit:

Your initial appointment is your first step to recovery. From this consultation we will analysis which hair loss category you fall into. Initial consultation takes approximately one hour.
During you consultation, many questions will be asked relating to your diet, health, hereditary hair loss, scalp and hair conditions. From this a detailed report is compiled and sent to you. We may ask you to obtain blood tests in order for us to fully understand you hormone balances and or deficiencies. Hair is examined under microscope; scrapings from the scalp may also be taken for further analysis.

Hair Loss and Scalp treatments:

At the end of your consultation a report is compiled, detailing your hair loss type. Symptoms of your hair loss, causes and a management program best suited to you will be advised. As our approach at ARKON Trichology Centre and Salon, is a holistic one, wherever possible we will recommend our high quality supplements, Sulpher free shampoos, conditioners and fenugreek healing therapies. In house hair loss treatments are available at our salon as well as all hair dressing requirements you may have such as ammonia free tinting, perming, foiling as well as cutting by qualified specialist hairdressers who are trained in Hair loss and recovery.

Hair Loss Consultation $ 70
Includes a Consultation with qualified Trichologist, examination, photos and report of your condition. Consult and session time vary between 30min – 1 hr.

Hair loss regeneration treatment $30
Scalp exfoliation. Cleansing excessive oil and skin build up associated with hair loss and scale (dandruff) on the scalp. Disorders such as wet & dry dandruff, dermatitis, psoriasis and inflamed scalp will benefit from this treatment. ½ hour treatment

Moisture Therapy $30
For dry hair and scalp disorders such as, over processed hair, side effects of straightening treatments & chemicals as well as dry dermatitis (dandruff). ½ hour treatment

ELECTROLYSIS

Permanently remove unwanted, upper lip, chin and facial hairs

Electrolysis is a way of removing individual hairs from the face or body. Today’s medical electrolysis devices destroy the growth center of the hair with chemical or heat energy. A very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle at the surface of the skin. The hair is then removed with tweezers.

What Causes Unwanted Hair Growth?

Hair growth is the result of heredity and hormonal levels. Also, some drugs, temporary methods of hair removal, and some illnesses can stimulate hair growth. Usually, hair growth is desirable. But when the hair is the wrong part of your body — a woman’s upper lip or chin or bikini line, for example — youmay be considering electrolysis.

How Many Electrolysis Treatments Will I Need?

Since many factors influence hair growth, you will need to return for several electrolysis visits. The total number of sessions needed to remove hair permanently from a particular area will vary from person to person. Most clients return once a week or every other week, as necessary. But the unwanted hair will be gone forever once the series of treatments have been completed. Each treatment lasts between 15 minutes and one hour.
